I don't think this is that weird. The most likely scenario was the cat found new owners in ABQ then the owners moved to Chicago taking the cat with them. Then the cat roamed off once it was in Chicago.
Or maybe he train hopped. Hobo pussy.

I saw a great movie where a cat travelled quite a bit by truck and ferry. It visited New York City and Atlantic City before finally ending up in North Carolina for its epic battle. (Name that movie.)

Funny how the DWI/spousal abuse piece slavishly refers to his silver Mercedes-Benz. Like, "What a rich asshole! Let's hate him for making us covet his stuff!" If he wasn't a well-to-do lawyer, I don't think we'd be getting specifics about his beige Mitsubishi Gallant.
