Since when is heroin a household item?

I just wasted 60 seconds of my life watching Indie cribz.

  • 1,080 days?!  [ Fri Nov 7 2008 12:28 PM ]

    Unbelievable! They never arrested anyone!

  • Easy explaination?  [ Fri Nov 7 2008 2:40 PM ]

When I took Food & Culture the professor talked about glue sniffing. She said it was a popular drug because it abated feelings of hunger. It makes me wonder if kids are turning to these things because they don't have access to food in the current crises.

I hate it when researchers present things as absolute fact when what they really mean to say is, "Based on certain studies these are the conclusions we have reached." Saying it this way will invite the receiver of the information to scrutinize what they've just been told or read.

I wouldn't consider myself an athlete since I'm usually surrounded by other people who are more hardcore than I am, but I do workout nearly every day and can say from experience that I think this professor from California is full of crap. I agree that you should always warm up your body by jogging, skipping rope or whatever to get the blood flowing in your body. Smart professional athletes do this before stretching, but they do stretch before their actual workout. Why? To give them better range of motion, to prevent injury, and to help curb the soreness you might feel the next day. To say that stretching doesn't help with the conditioning of the muscle is just stating the obvious. Of course stretching isn't going to make you stronger, but it will make it easier to preform certain excercises. As a training kickboxer/grappler I think it's absurd to say you shouldn't stretch before attempting to throw kicks or practice rubber guard because it won't make your kicks harder or your guard tighter. Absurd.

.....and homeboy at club 7 would still be up and running. With maybe a couple tickets to pay.

The judges are less "appaled" up there I guess. The guy seems a scumbag and most of the club owners downtown scoff when you bring up club 7, but I'm more concerned about how incredibly uptight this city is.

Did I wake up in the midwest? Should I warm up my "y'all"?
