Go ahead and call me anything you want. You certainly have the right. I wouldn't mind either because it's part of the rough and tumble of being a human being.
This organization, the NBA, is fining a man 100K and if he doesn't pay up, he won't be permitted to play in the playoffs for his team.
A Gay activist was quoted as saying that he received a phone call apology from Bryant. He also said it was a "long and hard day". I genuinely don't know what that means. But a friggin' slur(?) shouted during an angry moment doesn't amount to anything to me. Is it a National case and worthy of losing your job if you don't pay up. Athletes are what they are. That shouldn't surprise anyone. If the UNM President said it, I would call for his dismissal, but not a basketball player.
I admire the man. He has more guts than anyone I know. If you can stand and perform in a packed arena and on the the national SportsCenter stage and deliver the goods every night you play, then you have my vote. He's proven to be a decent man too. Give Kobe a break.

I might add that Barry Bonds getting convicted of one count of obstruction of justice is a stupid travesty and a waste of tax payers money. My disdain for lawyers is amplified. The Jury did a great job but they were hamstrung by the prosecution and they convicted him of the absolute minimum they were required to do. Who makes income off these assaults on wealthy athletes? Friggin' lawyers do.
Originally, the Senate of our Federal Government subpoenad him, as if they have all this additional time to spend. Maybe they should have been working on the budget or three wars. If I spent twenty minutes I could find five other issues for these braggarts to attend to. They seem to like appearing "important" on CNN.
I will turn 52 years soon and I wonder if there are any adults around.

Sugar and trans fats are toxins, CO2 is a pollutant, we are messing up the climate, the Bible/Quran is hate speech, meat is murder, hunting is animal abuse, guns do kill people, Bonds/Bryant/Woods are not decent men, the rich need to pay more taxes - especially rich corporations, unions, churches, athletes, and entertainers.
