A broken strand of pearls

Just in case you missed last week's inaugural post, here's the deal. I inherited a desk and half of an office from a long list of venerable arts editors. All of them left a layer of stuff, things, trinkets, periodicals, tchotchke, edibles and more, in between layers of paper. As I excavate, I share the strangest or funniest bits.
