The new KiMo sign is really cool. It makes me happy. But with all this hullaballoo about it, I started thinking about another sign. A sign no one sees unless they hang out in the alley.
(Reasons for hanging out in the alley include, but are not limited to, smoking, peeing and fighting. At least, these are the things I have witnessed there.)
On the back side of the KiMo, which is also the back side of the Alibi offices, is an old metal sign that's completely out of place.
It's set in the wall near our door, and it reads "Ferguson and Lind PC, Attorneys."

Do not be fooled. We do not have any attorneys in our back room. What is the sign doing there? Why is it in the alley? Were there once lots of little businesses back there, including some lawyers who had a small office with no street entrance? The sign also reads "411 Kimo Way."
What is this Kimo Way? Is someone referring to the alley as Kimo Way?! That's a bit euphemistic. And awesome. I think from now on we should all call the stinky alley Kimo Way.
