Just More Bull? What Red Bull is Made Of
Wired Magazine Looks at What's In a Can of Red Bull
When I pull the short straw and have to drive back from the mountains--after a long day of fishing or snowboarding--I accomplish the four-hour driving feat with one simple solution: two cans of Diet Red Bull.
Naturally I like to watch my figure while grinding my teeth onward toward sore jaw muscles. And, I always secretly suspected that Red Bull's secret ingredient wasn't all that secret: shitloads of caffeine. Since I am opting for the diet version, I'm pretty sure it's not the sugar high that's got me literally flying high.
Anyway, this article is almost entirely worth it, if only to find out that one ingredient, Taurine, was originally isolated from bull bile, back in 1827. Cool.
