Snow at Nearby Ski Areas
Let it snow! Taos Ski Valley has been open for awhile and without much snow, they got a foot overnight though, so their mid-mountain base is now at two feet. Good for skiers of the sacred steep.
Closer to home Ski Santa Fe, though apparently not yet open, has almost two feet of snow as well. Some adventurous hikers need to go up there and let Alibi know how the mountain is.
Wolf Creek (in southern Colorado) has been open literally for weeks. They finally received some serious snowfall: Three feet in the last 72 hours, making for a nice mid-mountain base of almost five feet! The Creek is a boarder's paradise and the more advanced side of the mountain is never crowded and mostly warm since the Alberta Lift rides up a protected canyon.
