Gift certificates, tickets or will-call only tickets.
How does the Bucks program work?
The Alibi has partnered with select businesses to provide goods and services at half price. Browse our site and make your purchases with credit card or PayPal through our secure processing system. Your Bucks certificates will be mailed the next business day (unless purchasing will-call only tickets, see event listing).
Are there restrictions on how many Bucks certificates I can buy?
No. You can purchase as many certificates or tickets as you want at one time until stock is depleted unless otherwise specified.
How long will it take to receive my Bucks certificates?
Your gift certificates will be mailed the next business day, unless you purchased for an event that is will-call only tickets in which case no physical ticket will be mailed (this will be noted in the event listing).
Will I receive a confirmation email of my purchase?
You will receive an email from PayPal with a confirmation code for your records.
Is there a shipping and handling charge?
There is a $1.00 shipping and handling fee per order, not per item. These fees help defray costs of both postage and administration and cannot be waived or refunded for in-person pick up or will-call tickets.
Can I pick up my Bucks certificates in person?
Yes. If you would like to pick up your Bucks in person at the Alibi offices, please tell us in the shipping instructions blank when you make your purchase. You may pick them up the next business day at the front desk between noon and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday if your order is placed before 5 p.m. The Alibi offices are located at 413 Central Ave NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102. Shipping and handling fees will not be waived or refunded for in-person pick up.
Can I use my confirmation email in place of the actual gift certificate?
No, only the actual Bucks certificates you receive in the mail will be honored. Performances that are will-call only will allow the email confirmation with photo ID.
What if I don’t receive my Bucks in the mail?
In the unlikely event that your Bucks have not arrived within 10 days of purchase you should submit a written claim using the Bucks Inquiry form. We will investigate your claim prior to resolution. Please note that the Alibi is not responsible for lost or stolen mail. Make sure your shipping address is current on your PayPal account. Also make sure if you purchased tickets they weren’t will call only in the listing.
What if a business doesn’t honor my Bucks certificate?
In the unlikely event that a business does not honor your certificate, contact us at (505) 346-0660 or use the Bucks Inquiry form and we will make it right.
Are there restrictions on my Bucks certificates?
In many cases, merchants will place restrictions on their Bucks which will be printed on the certificate and the Alibi Bucks web page. Review the restrictions carefully before purchasing. Some common restrictions include:
- No cash back
- No credit back
- Gratuity not included
- Only one certificate per visit
- Not valid with other promotions
In the rare event that a merchant imposes a restriction not listed on the certificate you may return it to the Alibi for a full refund. Conversely, no refunds will be given on the basis of disclosed restrictions.
What if I lose my certificate?
Lost Bucks are not replaceable.
What if an event I bought bucks to is cancelled?
If the event does not reschedule for a new date your tickets will automatically be refunded.
What if a business closes before I redeem my certificate?
If you purchased Bucks for an establishment that has gone out of business you may return those Bucks for full refund up to 6 months from the date of purchase. Use the Bucks Inquiry form. Exchanges are not permitted.
Can you send my Bucks purchase to someone else as a gift?
We can ship to any Gift address you’ve set up in your PayPal account. You can add new Gift addresses in your PayPal Profile’s Account Information section. Be sure you select the correct shipping address during the checkout process.
