The energy and fun our employees bring to Cafe Lush, our wonderful repeat customers, our quality products and healthy food made fresh to order by Chef Tom everyday. What are your strongest business traits? A desire to be successful and happy. What motivates you to succeed besides the desire to make money? Doing what we enjoy and making our customers happy and hearing from our customers how grateful they are for the food we create. What successes in the past year are you most proud of accomplishing? Building a small business by ourselves with our own money, and being so successful a year and a half later and having time off with family over the Holidays. What do you offer that the competition doesn't? Quality fresh food prepared daily, great ambiance inside and outside and a menu full of gluten free items, vegetarian and vegan options, vegan soups and chile and many products from La Montanita Coop and other local sources. How do you maintain your competitive edge? Preparing the highest quality food for a fair price, giving the best service possible and having a friendly downtown, neighborhood location. What do you think is the biggest obstacle in operating a successful business? You mean besides red tape??? What was your best business decision? Going into business together and opening Cafe Lush. What are your growth goals? Expanding our catering business and maybe a second location someday. What words of wisdom would you offer to someone starting their own business? Know yourself,know your customers, and have a lot of patience. What's your favorite saying or quotation? We can do anything!! It's Delushious! Anything else you would like to add? We meant in 1982 at a fabulous restaurant called Comme Chez Vous, fell in love and have been together ever since. Food and our love for each other is our true passion and now so is Cafe Lush! |
