How did you get started in this business?
I started Metalogic because I was tired of bad service for computer needs. Big box stores have untrained technicians and no real desire to help the customer. I ask questions to get my customers the correct solution the first time.
What is your business philosophy?
We will always be honest, offer the best solutions and hold the customer in the highest regard. The customer's needs and opinions are the most important part of the computer construction process, and we will always address our customers' concerns.
What is your or your company's greatest asset?
We are certified and experienced. We have the knowledge to not only get the job done right the first time, but to educate our customers about their own needs. We take the confusion out of computer technology.
Why did you choose to do business in Albuquerque?
We chose to do business in Albuquerque because there is no one else who does this business right here. If a customer brings a computer to our shop for free diagnostics, we can get it fixed without added charges or hidden fees. We are here to fix your problems, not break the bank.
What motivates you to succeed besides the desire to make money?
Building a community that understands what computers are and what computers can do for them. This creates higher productivity and keeps technology from holding them back.
What successes in the past year are you most proud of accomplishing?
We had the opportunity to build computers for the UNM A.R.T.S. Department and blew them away with computers that performed at a much higher quality than they anticipated, and at a fraction of the cost other companies had offered.
What do you offer that the competition doesn't?
Here at Metalogic Computers, we offer free diagnostics which greatly reduces the cost of solving a computer’s problems. Our completion time is less than half of all of our competitors, so you will always get your computer back faster. Our warranties far exceed our competition's because of the quality components we use both for repair and for building brand new computers. Our warranties are good for up to five years on most parts!
What are your growth goals?
We would like to become the community leader in computer technology for both small businesses and personal computing needs—and also to host charitable gaming events that will help put Albuquerque on the map!
What contributions to the community (charitable or otherwise) are you most proud of?
We are in the process of organizing the largest charitable gaming event in the Southwest.
Three passions outside of work?
Video gaming is my biggest passion outside of work, which is why I partnered with Gamers Anonymous and share space with their West Side location. Music is another passion of mine; I have been a drummer in several Albuquerque bands. I’ve also played with several teams at Albuquerque indoor soccer complexes.
Anything else you would like to add?
We build computers from scratch with only the needed parts. We work within your budget but make sure your computer can do what you need it to. If you’re uneasy about moving to Windows 8, we still offer custom builds for Windows 7. Most people think custom computers are "expensive," but we work with your budget and get you the computer that’s right for you!
What is a LAN?
A LAN is a PC gaming event where people get together and enjoy gaming in one location. We host LANs for many types of games, here at the shop on a monthly basis. We are the orchestrators of every major LAN event in New Mexico, such as Intel LANFest and Gammathon.
