A gallery talk with Lee Mongtomery regarding his aesthetic experiments in aviation.

Traveling with his wife, child and drone, Lee spent the month of July extending the reach of Air Force: aesthetic experiments in aviation, an exhibition that opened at CCA in June. Lee will present his best successes and most brilliant failures from drone shoots in Massachusetts, Philadelphia, New York, and Detroit, including a video made while in residence at Signal Culture in Oswego from footage gathered when his drone was stuck in a tree for more than 24 hours. Weather and technology permitting, Lee will demonstrate his process by taking a portrait of the audience outside of CCA after the talk.

This talk is presented in conjunction with Lee Montgomery's exhibition in CCA's spector rips project space, Air Force: aesthetic experiments in aviation, that runs through August 10.
