Break Bread

The adobe outdoor oven known as the horno is a fixture of the Southwest aesthetic, but how many of us city folk have actually seen one in use? Thanks to Mary Jane and Robert Edaakie of Isleta Pueblo, you'll get your chance to do just that as they demonstrate the process of using an horno to bake bread, from the specialized fire-making technique to dough preparation to the actual cooking and, of course, tasting. Tickets are $5, and parking passes are available in the Maxwell Museum store. (Ty Bannerman)
