Paranormal author Darynda Jones signs her 11th Charley Davidson paranormal effort, Eleventh Grave in Moonlight, and fantasy author Jeffe Kennedy signs his latest book, Edge of the Blade.

TWO NM PARANORMAL/FANTASY AUTHORS END WINTER BLUES JANUARY 28 AT PAGE ONE

Paranormal author Darynda Jones and fantasy author Jeffe Kennedy, both of central New Mexico, join forces 4:00 pm Saturday, January 28, to help end the winter blues at Page One Books with their latest releases.

Jones is promoting her 11th Charley Davidson paranormal effort, "Eleventh Grave in Moonlight." Kennedy's newest fantasy novel is "The Edge of the Blade," the second book of her "Uncharted Realms" series.

Jones' 11th Charley effort is described as such: "A typical day in the life of Charley Davidson involves cheating husbands, errant wives, missing people, philandering business owners, and, oh yeah...demons, hell hounds, evil gods, and dead people. Lots and lots of dead people. As a part time Private Investigator and full-time Grim Reaper, Charley has to balance the good, the bad, the undead, and those who want her dead. Now, Charley is learning to make peace with the fact that she is a goddess with all kinds of power and that her own daughter has been born to save the world from total destruction. But the forces of hell are determined to see Charley banished forever to the darkest corners of another dimension. With the son of Satan himself as her husband and world-rocking lover, will Charley be able to defeat the ultimate evil and find a way to have her happily ever after after all?"

Kennedy's "Edge of the Blade" is teased as such: "The Twelve Kingdoms rest uneasy under their new High Queen, reeling from civil war and unchecked magics. Few remember that other powers once tested their borders—until a troop of foreign warriors emerges with a challenge... Jepp has been the heart of the queen’s elite guard, her Hawks, since long before war split her homeland. But the ease and grace that come to her naturally in fighting leathers disappears when battles turn to politics. When a scouting party arrives from far-away Dasnaria, bearing veiled threats and subtle bluffs, Jepp is happy to let her queen puzzle them out while she samples the pleasures of their prince’s bed. But the cultural norms allow that a Dasnarian woman may be wife or bed-slave, never her own leader—and Jepp’s light use of Prince Kral has sparked a diplomatic crisis."

Jones, a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, won a Golden Heart Award for best paranormal for her manuscript "First Grave On The Right." As a born storyteller, she grew up spinning tales of dashing damsels and heroes in distress for any unfortunate soul who happened by, annoying man and beast alike. Jones lives in Albuquerque with her husband. They have two sons.

Kennedy is an award-winning author with a writing career that spans decades. Her most recent works include the fantasy trilogy "The Twelve Kingdoms." Book one, "The Mark of the Tala," received a starred Library Journal review and was nominated for the RT Book of the Year while the third book, "The Talon of the Hawk," won the RT Reviewers’ Choice Best Fantasy Romance of 2015. She lives in Santa Fe, with two Maine Coon cats, a border collie, plentiful free-range lizards and a Doctor of Oriental Medicine. Jeffe can be found online every Sunday at the popular Word Whores blog.

Page One Books is located at 5850 Eubank Blvd NE, Suite B-41, in Albuquerque's Mountain Run Shopping Center (southeast corner of Eubank and Juan Tabo). The Jones and Kennedy event is free and open to the public. For more information, please call 294-2026 or visit www.page1book.com.
