QUARAI PUBLIC STAR PARTY
Saturday, April 22nd - 7:30-10:00pm
Quarai Site - Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument

The telescopes and members of The Albuquerque Astronomical Society  will be participating as this new International Dark Sky Park member hosts a public star party on Earth Day, which will be the first of four this year.  The rangers and staff at the headquarters in Mountainair are very enthusiastic about the event and will have activities around the ruins preceding the night observing, so take this opportunity to arrive early to park and explore this historical location  before dark-sky observing in a unique venue.

Quarai is the most northern of the three sites of the Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument (the others being Gran Quivira and Abo)  and is located just off #55 below #337 from Tijeras before Mountainair .  Questions can be directed to the Mountainair office at 505-847-2585, ext. 220 - see www.taas.org for details
