Solar Eclipse Party

Sun vs. Moon

Wooooo!!! Time to party like it's 2017! What's the occasion, you ask? The All-American Solar Eclipse is happening! According to our super smart buddies at NASA, the moon will pass between the sun and Earth and thereby block out all or part of the sun for up to three hours (depending on where you are). Don't witness this epic solar event solo. Rather, head to Cherry Hills Library, Main Library or West Gate Heights Library for viewing parties featuring special storytimes, crafts, space-themed music, photo opportunities, solar-viewing telescopes from the Albuquerque Astronomical Society and much more! Check abqlibrary.com to see exactly what each library will be doing. The free fun starts at 10:30am. (Renée Chavez)
