Healing Addiction in Our Community's 6th Annual Arts for Hope and Recovery event will be 6-9 pm Saturday, Oct. 14, at Las Puertas Event Center, 1512 1st Street NW, in Albuquerque.

Carlos Contreras, Albuquerque’s friend in all things art, will emcee. Guests will enjoy music by Next Three Miles, live art creation by local artists Erin Vega and Michael Fish, dance performances and poetry, as well as live and silent auctions. Gourmet food provided by Slate Street Cafe, Scalo, Artichoke Café, Farina Pizzeria and Dig and Serve. Beer, wine and soft drinks also will be available.

Proceeds will benefit Serenity Mesa Youth Recovery Center, which provides long-term transitional living for young men striving to have a life free of drugs and alcohol. It opened in May 2015 with 10 beds for adolescent males ages 14-21. The girls’ lodge is slated to open in 2018.

Arts for Hope and Recovery tickets are $50 for general admission and $60 for reserved seating.
