Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s enduringly popular musical tells the Biblical saga of Joseph of Canaan and his coat of many colors.
Beginning its life in 1967 as a 20-minute “pop cantata” for a grade school concert, Joseph was revived and expanded in the mid-1970s and eventually made its way to Broadway in 1982. This song and dance spectacular has gone on to charm audiences around the world with its cornucopia of musical styles. With a cast of over 40 students ages 6 to 18, this rendition of Joseph celebrates the TV variety shows of the 1970s (think Brady Bunch-meets-Donny & Marie). Complete with children’s choir and Dream Dancers, this show is a groovy “retrospectacular.” Directed by Jonathan Dunski, with vocal direction by Kristen Hutchinson and choreography by Jonathan Ragsdale. Appropriate for all ages.
