Chair Jim McGrath will discuss the Blue Hole Cienega, a nature preserve in Santa Rosa, New Mexico, home to the federally threatened Pecos sunflower and state endangered Wright's marsh thistle.

He will also discuss rare plant field trips, especially the effort to find populations of the elusive Cloudcroft Phacelia.A short chapter meeting precedes the talk.  Native plant books will be on display and available for purchase.  This free public program is sponsored by the Albuquerque Chapter, Native Plant Society of New Mexico, and takes place at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History, 1801 Mountain Rd.
