Introduction to Creative Non-Fiction

This course is an introduction to the craft of writing creative non-fiction. This genre can take many forms and includes the personal essay, science and nature writing, historical and biographical narrative, memoir, humor, as well as travel and food writing. This class will teach the form and elements of creative non-fiction by suggesting reading assignments, short writing exercises, and a workshop format class that will include the respective criticism of others in the class. Note: Bring a notebook journal to each class session.
