 edle will get inspiration\, their most challenging projects and worst disa
 sters\, what it is like working with actors and more.Albuquerque\, N.M. Th
 eatre Lovers Community (TLC)\, an arm of the Albuquerque Theatre Guild (AT
 G)\, presents a panel discussion by talented and notable local theatre cos
 tumers on Saturday\, February 2 from 1:30 &ndash\; 3:30 at Musical Theatre
  Southwest&rsquo\;s Center for Theatre\, 6320-B Domingo NE (just south of 
 Expo NM). Participants will learn how these sorcerers of the sewing needle
  get their inspiration and experience\, about their most challenging proje
 cts and worst disasters\, what it is like working with actors\, and more.&
 ldquo\;Ever wonder who dreamed up that gorgeous costume on the ing&eacute\
 ;nue? What makes the villain look so evil?&rdquo\; asks Kay Grant\, founde
 r of Theatre Lovers Community. &ldquo\;You&rsquo\;ll find out how costumer
 s find period pieces\, and just what goes into finding or producing a cost
 ume for our local theatres.&rdquo\;Panel participants include:&bull\;&nbsp
 \;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Barbara Bock\, Moderat
 or. Bock is a visual artist who has designed sets and costumes for well ov
 er 100 productions since her arrival in New Mexico in 1976. Among her memo
 rable projects are designs for hand-painted 18th century gowns for She Sto
 ops to Conquer at the Adobe\; a contemporary version of Beyond Therapy at 
 the Vortex\; and the post-modern PLUNDA at UNM with its bubble-wrap design
 s for the dancers. Recently she did both set and costumes for her husband 
 Phil Bock&rsquo\;s musical\, Cat on a Streetcar Named Iguana at the Adobe.
 &bull\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; Dorothy Ba
 ca\, professor and costume designer for the UNM Department of Theatre & Da
 nce\, has professional television and film credits that include Dr. Quinn\
 , Medicine Woman\, Major Dad\, Charles in Charge\, Murder\, She Wrote\, Ba
 tman and Robin\, The Longest Yard\, and What Women Want. Baca was the cost
 ume supervisor on Suspect Zero\, starring Ben Kingsley and Border Town\, b
 oth filmed in New Mexico.&bull\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;
 &nbsp\;&nbsp\; Rosemary Castro-Gallegos has been designing and building co
 stumes for over 25 years. She has been the Costume/Wardrobe Supervisor at 
 the National Hispanic Cultural Center since 2004\, designing for the Patty
  Disney Zarzuela Series and Teatro Nuevo Mexico. Some productions include 
 Luisa Fernanda\, La Tabenara\, The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit\, Yerma\, The 
 Fence\, Real Women Have Curves\, and The House of Bernarda Alba. She has b
 een resident costumer for St. Pius X High since 2003. Rosemary designs for
  Bosque School\, New Mexico Young Actors\, Play Conservatory\, and Landmar
 k Musicals.&bull\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;
  Joe Moncada is an accomplished dancer and dance teacher\, and has costume
 d for dance competitions\, ballet\, and musical theatre. He designs and co
 nstructs dance and theatre costumes keeping in mind the performer&rsquo\;s
  body type and style. Most recently\, he costumed Landmark Musicals&rsquo\
 ; productions of Annie\, 1776\, and How to Succeed in Business Without Rea
 lly Trying.&nbsp\;Reservations are highly recommended for this event. Tick
