DESCRIPTION:Renowned artist/sculptor Roger Evans revisits one of his first 
 New Mexico ideas.In the 60s Evans\, a trained architect\, conceived &ldquo
 \;a way of living at the halfway point between Communes and Condominiums.&
 rdquo\; In 1972 he built a main building with a pool and passive solar col
 lector that was to be the first hub of a village\, efficient in space and 
 energy. Architecture largely eliminated the need for furnishings\; open sp
 ace was presented in a small footprint with family units clustered in rela
 tion to common living rooms\, play areas and workshops. It would preserve 
 the family unit but would yet be a community. It would be art\, yet sculpt
 ure.The exhibit at the Library presents blueprints\, conceptual drawings a
 nd detailed models of Evans&rsquo\; architectural designs. His home in the
  hills above Placitas presents tangible proof of the artist&rsquo\;s visio
