Sylvie Larimore de Lara reads from and discusses her novel.
Novel examines the melancholia that engulfed the Salvadorians—los Guanacos—during their civil war (1980-92). The story unfolds in Paris and follows an eclectic group of exiled Salvadorians from the 1980 assassination of Monsignor Romero to the 1989 assassination of six Jesuit priests, and culminates with the 1992 Peace Accords.
