Le Parnasse: French Baroque Music

Baroque violinist Stephen Redfield joins the Albuquerque Baroque Players in a concert of music performed on period instruments.

Featuring MaryAnn Shore, Baroque oboe and recorders; Mary Bruesch, viola da gamba; Susan Patrick, harpsichord. Music performed at A=392, a whole step below the modern pitch of A=440. The program includes music of Jean-Baptiste Loeillet, Jean-Marie Leclair, Joseph Bodin de Boismortier, Jean-Féry Rebel, and François Couperin. A frequent guest of the Albuquerque Baroque Players, Dr. Redfield is Professor of Violin at the University of Southern Mississippi and also serves as concertmaster of Santa Fe Pro Musica.
