Hot on the heels of the festival held every fall in Banff, Alberta, the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour hits the road. With stops planned in about 400 communities and 35 countries across the globe, this year’s tour features a collection of the most inspiring action, environmental, and adventure films from the festival. Traveling to exotic landscapes and remote cultures, and bringing audiences up-close and personal with adrenaline-packed action sports, the 2012/2013 World Tour is an exhilarating and provocative exploration of the mountain world. From approximately 350 films entered into the annual festival, award-winning films and audience favourites are among the films chosen to travel the globe. Join Stone Age Climbing Gym, REI, and NM Kayak Instruction when the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour brings the spirit of outdoor adventure to Albuquerque, NM, at the KiMo Theatre on March 20 & 21 at 7:00 pm.

The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour breezes through the KiMo Theatre on Wednesday and Thursday, March 20 and 21. Each year, programmers in Alberta, Canada, assemble a collection of breathtaking short films from around the world concentrating on mountain sports, adventure travel, high-altitude culture and environmental concerns. This world tour represents the best of the best. Each night’s selection will run from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. This event is a benefit for NM Wilderness Alliance and the Mountain Fund. Tickets are $12 each day or $20 for both and can be purchased at the KiMo box office or through KimoTickets.com.
