Saturday Sunset Series: An Officer’s Perspective

Law of the Land

Throughout the summer, the city of Albuquerque has presented a free weekly "Saturday Sunset Series" at the Elena Gallegos Double Shelter Amphitheater. From nature dancing to food history to sign language, the series has featured talks, demonstrations and shows by a unique variety of the city's speakers, educators and performers. This week, Lieutenant Todd Hudson of the Albuquerque Police Department presents "An Officer's Perspective," a talk and discussion about the jobs and activities of an APD Open Space law enforcement officer. Learn how these fully commissioned officers help protect our natural land and resources while also ensuring a safe and enjoyable time for open space visitors. To access the park from Tramway, turn east onto Simms Park Road and head towards the amphitheater. (Emily Aragon)
