The New Mexico Wine Growers Association will be hosting the “Tastes of the Season Holiday Wine & Food Expo”, a new event to be held inside the Star Center in Rio Rancho, NM, on November 9 and 10. The “Tastes of the Season Holiday Wine & Food Expo” will take place from noon to 7pm on Saturday and noon to 5 pm on Sunday. In addition, several area charities are offering up fully decorated artificial holiday trees for auction, with proceeds benefitting each organization. Trees will be offered from the Boys and Girls Club, NM Autism Society, Girl Scouts of NM Trails, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Sandoval County Court-Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Watermelon Mountain Ranch Animal Shelter, and Dance Fund Raiser. Admission to the “Tastes of the Season Holiday Wine & Food Expo” is $20 per adult, which includes a souvenir wine glass and wine tastings. Advance tickets are available at www.tastesoftheseasonwinefestival.com. Under 21 are free with a parent or legal guardian, and all attendees must have a valid picture ID in accordance with state law. If sampling the wines, organizers encourage bringing a designated driver.
