Major General Gwen Bingham, Diane Harrison Ogawa, Professor Margaret Montoya, and Dr. Katharine W. Winograd will be honored at this event.

The Celebrating Women’s Stories event recognizes the accomplishments and personal histories of exceptional women in New Mexico.             Major General Bingham is the Commanding Officer at the White Sands Missile Range. Ogawa is the Executive Director of the PNM Resources Foundation. Professor Montoya, an Emerita Professor at the UNM School of Law, is the Senior Adviser to Executive Vice President for UNM Health Sciences Center. Dr. Winograd serves as the first female President of Central New Mexico Community College, the largest higher education institution in the state. The mission of the Southwest Women’s Law Center (SWLC) is to create opportunities for women to realize their full economic and personal potential. The SWLC works to eliminate gender bias, discrimination and harassment; lift women and their families out of poverty; and ensure that all women have full control over their reproductive lives through access to comprehensive reproductive health services and information.
