Mixed media works by Melissa Morgan.
at Metallo Gallery in Madrid The latest works of Melissa Morgan will be unveiled by Metallo Gallery of Madrid, New Mexico on Saturday, August 11th from 4-8 p.m. Featuring a blend of mixed media, Enter Anthropocene is Ms. Morgan’s provocative response to the perilous relationship between mankind and nature. Breathtaking nudes, overcome by the controversial fruits of food science, are the stars of the show; each canvas is an exquisite depiction of the undeniable impact the human species has on its’ spoiled and shrinking environment, and in turn, its’ own fate. Ms. Morgan attended art school in New York from 1998-2002. She moved to New Mexico in 2007, and has exhibited in several galleries in New Mexico and California. Enter Anthropocene is her second solo show in New Mexico. While specializing in metal sculpture and jewelry, Cassidy Watt has assembled a collection notable for its range of diversity in tone, texture and medium. The gallery’s intimacy brings cohesion to the works of featured contemporary artists, bridging platinum necklaces and eerie, furtive oil paintings. Cassidy Watt graduated from New York Institute of Technology in 2002 with a degree in Fine Arts. He moved to Madrid in 2007 and opened Metallo Gallery in 2008. In 2009, Mr. Watt introduced his own line of jewelry, which is also available on Canyon Road. ### For more information about Melissa Morgan Art, please visit www.not-so-ladylike.com.
