NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107 (505) 452-7208 The exhibition title, Guiding Light, seems to be a perfect depiction of the life journey to New Mexico for Santa Fe based photographer, Craig Varjabedian. The Santa Fe morning light brought clarity and Varjabedian welcomed its calling. “All I knew was that I was being called to capture in photographs what I was seeing in this new world. As a photographer, I had found my home. Somehow I knew that my entire life had been preparing me for this place, and that New Mexico would tell me what to do. The morning light had brought me clarity, which I still feel today.” writes Craig Varjabedian in his essay from Landscape Dreams, A New Mexico Portrait. This exhibition offers a varied selection of Varjabedian’s photographs from his travels across at the American West and will appeal to anyone who has experienced an illuminating moment, as well as anyone who would like to. Showing at 1629 is proud to introduce the stunning photographs of Santa Fe-based photographer, Craig Varjabedian.
