Celebrate the vibrant refugee community in Albuquerque.

We are going to have a big celebration at Cesar Chavez Community Center from 11:30-3pm on Saturday, June 21st to recognize and honor our refugee community here in Burque.

Refugees are individuals who have fled their country of origin due to war and/or racial, religious, ethnic, and tribal persecution. They are brave, focused, determined, and motivated to start their new and free lives in the United States.

Catholic Charities, along with Lutheran Family Services (an agency that also processes and transitions refugees to the U.S. and Albuquerque) and many other community agencies are collaborating to make this event a huge success. We hope you'll join us!

Join us for:
-Official NCIS Naturalization Ceremony
-Mayoral Proclamation of Albuquerque World Refugee -Storytellers
-Art Display
-Kids Art Projects
-Information Booths for Community Services
-Free Snacks & Drinks
