This could be the coolest gift of the century. Any child of the ’70s or video game aficionado would shout with glee upon unwrapping this key chain treasure. Three classic Atari games—“Pong," "Breakout" and "Warlords"—all uploaded into a small, portable game controller. Just plug this bad boy into any TV set and get ready for some hardcore "Pong" action. Keychains with Asteroids, Centipede and other classics are also available.

Kid Robot Dunny, 3-inch $8, 8-inch $39.99

Burning Paradise

800 Central SW

244-1161

Burning Paradise has long established itself as a fine repository for cult videos and DVDs from around the world. Now the store is carrying wicked-cool collectible vinyl toys from New York's Kid Robot. The tiny 3-inch Dunny figures are customized by noted graphic/graffiti artists like Huck Gee, Ron English, Attaboy, Craola, Tokidoki, Joe Ledbetter, D23 and others. If you really wanna splurge, there's the “L.A. Painkiller Deluxe” limited edition (2,000 pieces) 8-inch Dunny designed by “tradigital” artist Thomas Han.

SR Customz Chevrolet Pickup Truck, $29.99

Big Boys' Toys

1735 Juan Tabo NE

298-1023

If you know someone with a need for speed, then hurry over to Big Boys' Toys. There are hundreds of gifts for your favorite car nut. You can choose from classic collectible Hot Wheels (ranging from 75 cents to $100), retro-cool electric-powered Sizzlers (remember Sizzlers?), dozens of slot cars (muscle cars are popular now) and ready-to-build model kits (Daisy Duke's Jeep!). This detailed, metal-bodied 1:24-scale monster truck is one of Big Boys' best-sellers and sports the season's hottest trend--a metallic candy-colored paint job.

Little Uglys Bop N' Beep, $9.95

Nia & Company

88 Louisiana SE

243-2222

If you know a Sanrio junkie, then Nia & Co. is your supplier. There are countless hyper-cute items here, from pens to coffee mugs to notebook paper to candy to cereal dispensers, all emblazoned with your favorite Sanrio characters. Hello Kitty is, as always, the flagship; but there are plenty of items for Keropi, Chococat, Badtz-Maru and others. Looking for more hard-to-find imported swag? There are also items for non-Sanrio characters like Pucca (the love-crazed Vietnamese schoolgirl) and Mashimaro (the fat, squishy bunny). Stuffed animals are in high supply here, and who could resist these half-sized “Little Uglys” from Uglydoll? So ugly they're cute!

DC Showcase Presents: Jonah Hex, $16.95

Noble Collectibles

5901 Wyoming NE #W

858-0212

These full-sized digest comics collect classic runs from the ’60s and ’70s. DC's imprint is called Showcase, while Marvel's is called Essentials. Either way you get upwards of 500 pages worth of fine comic reading for a minuscule price. The books are all reprinted in black and white, but on certain books—this gritty “Jonah Hex,” for example, with art by the great Tony DeZuniga—it actually emphasizes the detailed inkwork. Choose from popular titles like “Superman” and “Captain America” as well as lesser-known titles like “Metamorpho the Element Man” and “Tomb of Dracula.”
