Monte Verde Diva Lipstick Ballpoint Pen, $35
114 Amherst SE
It’s impossible to get through the holiday season without making a pit stop at Papers! The parchment boutique specializes in (among other things) art paper, stationary, cards … and pens. But these aren’t just any pens, mind you—these babies are drool-worthy. One of our new favorites is this ballpoint in drag. Disguised as a lipstick, the cap unscrews, the ink rolls up and the seemingly innocuous purse dweller transforms into a high-caliber writing instrument. Genius. Plus, it comes in this gorgeous box.
Antique Button Earrings, $46-$75
4534 Corrales Road
Small and simply superb. These unique, one-of-a-kind earrings are made by Corrales master silversmith Janet Pugh from antique buttons dating back as late as the 19th century. Keeping the button intact, she surrounds each with a ring of sterling silver and attaches an earring hook. Picking just one pair will be difficult--no, nearly impossible.
“Better Finger” Slimline Massager, $8.50

With the addition of one AA battery (included), show your special someone how much you care with a candy-coated personal massage to alleviate her holiday stress. “It’s good for traveling,” says Martha. Green Amber Pendant, $65
110 Dartmouth SE
This family-owned Nob Hill shop is a trove of jewelry, women’s clothing, purses and lingerie. Plus, it has a beautiful variety of flasks. With jewelry that ranges in price from modest to extravagant, we settled on this sterling-silver-encroached green amber pendant, which falls somewhere in the middle. It made us go, “mmmm.”
