The Six Degrees of Indiana Jones Summer Film Guide
By Devin D. O’Leary
Way back in 1999, the Alibi dedicated its entire Summer Film Guide to the release of Star Wars: Episode 1—The Phantom Menace. In a fit of fanboy enthusiasm, Film Editor Devin D. O’Leary created the now-legendary “Six Degrees of Luke Skywalker Summer Film Guide” in which he linked every single film released that summer to actor Mark Hamill through six actors or less. This year marks the release of yet another historic sequel, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. How better to celebrate this bit of moviegoing good fortune than to link every summer 2008 film to the immortal Mr. Harrison Ford? So go ahead, map out all your essential movie-viewing between Memorial Day and Labor Day—and observe how Harrison Ford holds Hollywood together with his near-mystical powers of connectivity.Keep in mind: All release dates are subject to change.May 22
