Paula Gunn Allen and Luci Tapahonso are West End Press authors. Their books show up on the UNM Press website because West End Press is distributed by UNM Press. (Levi Romero has published with both West End and UNMP.) While UNMP has some magnificent authors in their Mary Burritt Christiansen poetry series (VB Price, Jennifer Bartlett and Anne Valley-Fox, for example), the two authors mentioned are not among them.
I get emails from a fair number of touring poets who want to know where or how to set up an Albuquerque reading, and this list is a great start to point them towards...
