I work at a credit union and am also a member. The benefits of credit unions vs. banks are well worth looking in to. Banks are all about raping their customers of every single penny they have to their names while credit unions actually care about their members, even calling them members, not customers. Look into your local credit unions as a financial option, it's definitely worth your while.
