Thursday 26

“Hopkins 24/7” (KOAT-7 9 p.m.) ABC brings back its cheap and easy hospital-based documentary series from last summer. … Eh, it still beats the last couple seasons of “ER.”

Friday 27

“The 19 th Annual GLAAD Media Awards” (BRAVO 5 p.m.) Preceded by a rerun of the season finale for “Project Runway” and followed by an airing of Brokeback Mountain –just to prove that yes, BRAVO is that gay .

“Dance Machine” (KOAT-7 7 p.m.) I’ll give you one guess as to what this new reality show entails. … Bingo.

“CMT Paid Vacation with Pauly Shore” (CMT 10:30 p.m.) Pauly Shore is hosting a game show on Country Music Television? Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Wait. Scratch that. Oh, how the lowly have … gotten lowlier ?

Saturday 28

Copperhead (Sci-Fi 7 p.m.) Jeez, Sci-Fi, it’s been weeks since the network has broadcasted a snake movie. I was getting worried that the Senior Executive in Charge of Snake-Based Programming had fallen ill. Or that, after films like Snake King, King Cobra, Komodo vs. Cobra, Basilisk: The Serpent King, Mega Snake, Boa, Python and the immortal Boa vs. Python , you’d run out of snake species. Apparently not.

“Groomer Has It” (Animal Planet 7 p.m.) AnPlan’s gripping dog grooming reality show competition finally comes to an end. Who will win, joining such pooch-shampooing luminaries as … help me out here.

The Tenth Circle (Lifetime 7 p.m.) Kelly Preston stars in this adaptation of Jodi Picoult’s best-selling novel as a mom suspected of murder after her daughter’s alleged rapist turns up dead. A comic book that figures heavily into the film’s subplot is drawn by Dustin Weaver ( Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic )–added incentive for comic geeks who love Lifetime Channel movies.

Sunday 29

“The Singing Office” (TLC 7 p.m.) You could watch Joey Fatone host this “Singing Bee” spin-off that pits office staff against office staff in a no-notes-barred singing competition. Or you could just go to karaoke night at McDrinky’s Tavern at the mall. Same diff.

“The Factory” (Spike 8 p.m.) Spike TV takes the sitcom to manly new heights with this semi-improvised laugher about four beer-drinking, blue-collar buddies who work at the same small-town factory.

Monday 30

“All About Dung” (History 7 p.m.) Thank you, History Channel, for making my job so damn effortless.

Tuesday 1

“Celebrity Family Feud” (KOB-4 7 p.m.) Here I was, all prepared to dismiss this as a stupid idea. Then NBC had to go and schedule tonight’s Kathie Lee Gifford vs. Dog the Bounty Hunter match-up. Now I’ve got to revise my opinion from stupid to genius.

“The Secret Life of an American Teenager” (ABC Family 8 p.m.) This new family drama is notable not because it provides another outlet for TV teen angst, but because it features ’80s icon Molly Ringwald as the mother of an angsty TV teen.

Wednesday 2

“Comic Con ’08 Live Preview” (G4 6:30 p.m.) The Mecca for nerds known as the San Diego Comic Con starts July 24. G4 affords us a sneak peek by interviewing some of this year’s power guests from the worlds of comic books, movies and television.
