The Week in Sloth
“Secrets of the Furious Five” (KOB-4 7 p.m.) If you forked out more bucks for the deluxe DVD edition of Kung Fu Panda just so you could get the extra disc featuring the film’s short animated “sequel,” congratulations. Here it is for free.
“The Chris Isaak Hour” (Biography 8 p.m.) Hey, if William Shatner can have his own interview show, why not Chris Isaak? Tonight: Trisha Yearwood.
“Ax Men: The Road to Season Two” (History 8 p.m.) What the hell ...
“Heli-Loggers” (TLC 8 p.m.) ... is with all of these ...
“American Loggers” (Discovery 8 p.m.) ... damn lumberjack shows all of a sudden?
Anacondas: Trail of Blood (Sci-Fi 7 p.m.) CGI snake-loving fans waiting with baited breath for a sequel to 1997’s Anaconda, 2004’s Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid and 2008’s Anaconda III ... are advised to get a life.
“Smothered: The Censorship Struggles of the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour” (KNME-5 8 p.m.) Heck, it wasn’t until 1968 that Rowan and Martin could say, “You bet your sweet bippy” on “Laugh-In.”
“Saturday Night Live Just Shorts” (KOB-4 7 p.m.) For some inexplicable reason, even during the worst of seasons, the short films, commercial parodies and cartoons from “SNL” are always solidly funny. Here’s a salute to them.
“Celebrity Apprentice” (KOB-4 8 p.m.) Last month, all of the businesses under Donald Trump’s control filed for bankruptcy. For the fifth time. ... Yeah, this is the guy I want to be my mentor.
Jesse Stone: Thin Ice (KRQE-13 8 p.m.) It’s good to see Tom Selleck back on TV solving crimes and all. But it’s just not the same without the baseball cap and Ferrari.
“Rip the Runway ’09” (BET 7 p.m.) Performers T.I., Ron Browz, GS Boyz, The-Dream, Mavado and Busta Rhymes get eight kinds of jiggy with it in this runway show featuring America’s top urban designers.
“Reaper” (KWBQ-19 7 p.m.) Huh. Apparently, this horror comedy about Satan’s unwilling errand boy isn’t canceled. Here it is, back for a second, belated season. Cool.
“Dirty Jobs: Mike’s Day Off” (Discovery 7 p.m.) “Dirty Jobs” closes out its second season with this special ep. What does Mike do on his day off? I’ve got money on “shower.”
“America’s Next Top Model” (KWBQ-19 7 p.m.) America, apparently, can never have enough top models. Here we go with the 12th season!
“Superhuman” (History 8 p.m.) History Channel scours the globe looking for real people with extraordinary powers comparable to those of comic book superheroes. Which isn’t that tough if you count guys like Green Arrow, The Spirit, The Punisher, Robin and all the contestants from “Who Wants to Be a Superhero?”
