Thursday 17

“Saturday Night Live: Weekend Update Thursday” (KOB-4 7 p.m.) Another season and you’re still filling holes in the Thursday night schedule, NBC?

“Survivor” (KRQE-13 7 p.m.) “Survivor” sails into its 19 th season by way of Samoa.

“Extreme Cuisine With Jeff Corwin” (Food Network 7 p.m.) What’s Animal Planet’s resident herpetologist doing over on the Food Network? And what could he possibly be eating that Andrew Zimmern hasn’t choked down in the last two years?

“Community” (KOB-4 8:30 p.m.) See “Snap Judgement” above.

“VH1 Divas” (VH1 7 p.m.) Paula Abdul lands herself a one-off gig hosting this VH1 concert featuring the likes of Adele, Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis, Jordin Sparks and Miley Cyrus. … Did someone change the definition of “diva” when we weren’t looking?

Friday 18

“The 2009 ALMA Awards” (KOAT-7 7 p.m.) Eva Longoria Parker and George Lopez host. Shakira performs. Salma Hayek, Oscar de la Hoya and Ricardo Montalbán get awards. … Hey, it beats actually having to write parts for Hispanics on primetime television.

Saturday 19

Georgia O’Keefe (Lifetime 7 p.m.) A worthy subject, a steller cast (Joan Allen as O’Keefe, Jeremy Irons as Stieglitz) and the fact that it was shot right here in New Mexico are enough to make this a must-not-miss Lifetime original movie.

Sunday 20

“The 61 st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards” (KRQE-13 7 p.m.) Neil Patrick Harris hosts. Go Neil!

Clive Barker’s Book of Blood (SyFy 7 p.m.) Director John Harrison ( Tales From the Darkside: The Movie ) empties all the excellent tales out of Clive Barker’s Books of Blood and instead adapts the two-part intro/postscript that frames the six-book series.

“Curb Your Enthusiasm” (HBO 7 p.m.) Personally, I’ve never been a fan of the “so uncomfortable it makes you laugh” school of comedy. However, this seventh season does revolve around a reunion of the “Seinfeld” cast.

“Bored to Death” (HBO 7:30 p.m.) See “Snap Judgement” above.

“Wedding Cake Wars” (WE 11 p.m.) Seriously, there’s more to “women’s entertainment” than just pastries and weddings, WE.

Monday 21

“Heroes” (KOB-4 7 p.m.) NBC is rebooting the “Heroes” franchise. I know we’ve heard that promise before. But this time they might actually mean it.

“Accidentally on Purpose” (KRQE-12 7:30 p.m.) Jenna Elfman (“Dharma & Greg”) is a San Francisco movie critic who gets pregnant after an affair with a young man.

Tuesday 22

“NCIS: Los Angeles” (KRQE-13 8 p.m.) See “Snap Judgement” above.

“the forgotten” (KOAT-7 9 p.m.) Shaking off that whole “My Own Worst Enemy” thing, Christian Slater climbs back on the horse with another crime series—this one about detectives who help bring justice to unidentified murder victims.

Wednesday 23

“Mercy” (KOB-4 7 p.m.) See “Snap Judgement” above.

“Cougar Town” (KOAT-7 8:30 p.m.) Courteney Cox as a recently divorced manhunter? You’ve come a long way since “Dancing in the Dark,” girl.

“Eastwick” (KOAT-7 9 p.m.) See “Snap Judgement” above.
