Thursday 13

“The Vampire Diaries” (KWBQ-19 7 p.m.) The first season of The CW’s sexy young vamp series comes to an end with Alaric and Damon trying to stop Johnathan from unleashing destruction, chaos and death. If you dig the show, you’d better hope the vampire fad holds on until fall.

“Parks and Recreation” (KOB-4 7:30 p.m.) Former Brat Packer and celebrity sex tape pioneer Rob Lowe joins the cast of NBC’s increasingly solid sitcom.

Friday 14

“Smallville” (KWBQ-19 7 p.m.) The ninth season of The CW’s sexy young superhero show comes to an end with Chloe and Clark battling Zod and his evil minions. While the vampire fad may be in danger, the superhero still fad is in full swing.

Saturday 15

“This Angry Earth” (The Weather Channel 8 p.m.) TWC unearths more evidence that the planet is trying really hard to kill us.

Sunday 16

“2010 Miss USA Pageant” (KOB-4 6 p.m.) Contestants vie for the crown in the 59 th annual pageant. Curtis Stone hosts. Apparently, he’s a celebrity chef in Australia. … Jeez, this thing just gets more irrelevant every year.

“Survivor” (KRQE-13 7 p.m.) The 20 th season of “Survivor” comes to an end with the Heroes and Villains competing in one last face-off.

“The Pacific” (HBO 7 p.m.) HBO’s epic, 10-part chronicle about World War II comes to an end. I don’t want to spoil it for you, but things aren’t looking so hot for the Axis powers.

“My Baby Made Me Crazy” (TLC 8 p.m.) If he’s the one who sat next to me on the plane the other day, he made me crazy, too.

Monday 17

“House” (KASA-2 7 p.m.) FOX’s offbeat medical drama closes out Season 6 with the team ditching the hospital setting to deal with an on-scene medical emergency.

Animal Planet Investigates: Petland” (Animal Planet 8 p.m.) I get the feeling Petland is not among tonight’s sponsors.

Tuesday 18

“V” (KOAT-7 9:01 p.m.) In case you hadn’t figured it out, it’s all about season finales this week. Here, ABC’s clinging-to-life sci fi bids adieu for the summer. It ends with Val giving birth, which means after an entire (albeit truncated) season, we might actually get to see a damn alien.

“Future Food” (Planet Green 8 p.m.) Apparently, in the future, high-tech packaging will be edible. … Hey, the bag can’t taste any worse than the Bugles inside.

Wednesday 19

“The Good Guys” (KASA-2 7 p.m.) FOX’s wacky new mismatched cop comedy gets a sneak preview tonight.

“Accidental Fortune” (TLC 8 p.m.) Ordinary people stumble across fortunes at yard sales, in garages, at thrift stores. Tonight, somebody finds a Camaro worth a potential $250,000. … A Camaro? What, did Burt Reynolds own it?
