Thursday 6

“The League” (FX 11:30 p.m.) Seth Rogen slums around basic cable for a week. In the season premiere of FX’s fantasy football league sitcom, he plays the often-discussed but previously unseen “Dirty Randy.”

Friday 7

“Top Secret Recipe” (CMT 10 p.m.) Infamous “food hacker” Todd Wilbur shows how to re-create world famous “secret recipes.” But why is this cooking show on County Music Television? … Because the first thing Wilbur goes after is KFC’s original recipe.

“Trick My What?” (CMT 11 p.m.) In addition to courting the foodie crowd, CMT goes after the vehicle modification crowd. For tonight’s premiere, they pimp out a 1999 Tigercat 630 Logging Skidder. … And you wonder why I make fun of rednecks?

Saturday 8

The Terror Beneath (Syfy 7 p.m.) Adrian Pasdar (“Heroes”) stars in this highly original disaster movie about a giant plant that threatens to destroy the Earth with its rapidly growing root system. No, really. The original title was Garden of Evil . So … evil roots. I said it was original. I didn’t say it was scary.

“Free Agents” (BBC America 9 p.m.) Unsure about NBC’s Hank Azaria-led sitcom about PR executives? Now you can check out the original BBC series NBC ripped off. And the bonus? The best part of the NBC series, Anthony Stewart Head (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer”), plays the same role in the original.

Sunday 9

The Making of South Park: Six Days to Air (Comedy Central 11 p.m.) Comedy Central celebrates the 15 th anniversary of “South Park” by documenting the frantic efforts that go into writing and animating an episode.

Monday 10

DISconnected (MTV 10 p.m.) What is cyberbullying and why is it so popular? Find out with this MTV movie about four young people who meet on an Internet chat site and act mean. I miss the old days when teenagers didn’t need a Twitter account to ruin each other’s lives.

Five (Lifetime 7 p.m.) This anthology film is a weepy look at the impact breast cancer has on the lives of several women—which doesn’t set it much apart from the average Lifetime movie. It is, however, directed by the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Alicia Keys, Demi Moore, Patty Jenkins ( Monster ) and Penelope Spheeris ( Decline of Western Civilization ).

“Enlightened” (HBO 7:30 p.m.) Laura Dern stars as a beauty company executive who has a midlife meltdown, runs off to New Age treatment center in Hawaii and then tries to return to the shambles of her former life. Mike White ( Chuck & Buck, The Good Girl, School of Rock ) writes and produces.

Tuesday 11

“Last Man Standing” (KOAT-7 7 p.m.) Tim Allen returns to TV in your standard-issue sitcom. He’s a manly dude in a family full of chicks. The battle of the sexes? Hilarious, amiright ?

“Chelsea Settles” (MTV 12 a.m.) MTV deserves some credit for producing this reality show featuring the network’s first plus-size star, a 324-pound 23-year-old who dreams of getting a job in the L.A. fashion industry. … But I’d give them even more credit if it weren’t just another reality show.

Wednesday 12

“Work of Art: The Next Great Artist” (Bravo 7 p.m.) Art seems even more arbitrary a subject for a reality show competition than fashion designing, singing, cooking, modeling or handymaning.
