“Weird or What?” on Syfy

Thursday 25

“Project Runway” (Lifetime 7 p.m.) There’s a possibility that this “Project Runway” season finale could crown New Mexico designer Patricia Michaels the winner. Go, Land of Enchantment!

Friday 26

“Al Madrigal: Why is the Rabbit Crying?” (Comedy Central 12 a.m.) “The Daily Show” correspondent Al Madrigal cuts loose with his own stand-up special.

Saturday 27

Mayweather (KRQE-13 7 p.m.) CBS is heavily invested in boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s May 4 welterweight bout. Hence CBS, CBS Sports and Showtime (which is owned by CBS) have spent over 100 hours on Mayweather-centric programming. Here, for example, is an hour-long, primetime documentary about the boxer’s life.

“Doctor Who” (BBC America 6 p.m.) Tonight’s episode, “Journey to the Centre of the Tardis,” threatens to give us a deeper glimpse into the guts of The Doctor’s legendary space/time vehicle than ever before.

“Insane Bathrooms” (TLC 8 p.m.) This one-hour special will introduce you to the most madness-inducing, non-Euclidean, Lovecraft-inspired toilets of doom and despair ever vomited out from the brains of tortured mankind. ... That or they’re made from glass or gold or something.

Sunday 28

“The Doctors Revisited: The Fourth Doctor” (BBC America 6 p.m.) The BBC looks back on the fourth actor to play The Doctor, Tom Baker. Followed by a broadcast of the 1975, Baker-led episode “Pyramids of Mars.”

Monday 29

The Queen of Versailles (Bravo 7 p.m.) This crazy 2012 documentary introduces us to Jackie and David Siegel, stupid-rich owners of Westgate Resorts, who embark on a quest to build the largest and most expensive single-family house in the United States. Things get interesting when the recession hits.

Tuesday 30

“Crowd Rules” (CNBC 7 p.m.) In what is charitably described as a “reality show competition,” three small business owners stand in front of 100 people and beg for $50,000. The crowd votes and somebody gets the dough.

“Weird or What?” (Syfy 7 p.m.) William Shatner steals Leonard Nimoy’s old “In Search of...” gig, hosting this documentary series featuring stories of the bizarre and unexplained.

“Inside Amy Schumer” (Comedy 11:30 p.m.) Scripted vignettes, stand-up comedy and man-on-the-street interviews highlight the “provocative and hilariously wicked mind” of comedienne Amy Schumer.

Wednesday 1

Journey to Planet X (Epix 6 p.m.) Eric Swain and Troy Bernier are scientists by day and amateur filmmakers by night. Journey to Planet X chronicles their quest to write, produce, direct and star in their most ambitious sci-fi epic to date.

“Family Tools” (KOAT-7 7:30 p.m.) ABC borrows a generic BBC sitcom (“White Van Man”) as inspiration for this show about a career-averse guy who takes over his father’s handyman business.

“The Big Brain Theory: Pure Genius” (Discovery 8 p.m.) Engineers compete against one another in crazy challenges—like having 30 minutes to stop explosives from detonating before the two trucks carrying them hit head-on.
