Week in Sloth

Play Youtube Video
“Wander Over Yonder” on Disney Channel

Thursday 15

“Owner’s Manual” (AMC 8 p.m.) Hosts Ed Sanders (“Extreme Makeover: Home Edition”) and Marcus Hunt (HGTV’s “Hammer Heads”) test out who’s better—those who read the owner’s manuals or those who trust their own instincts. The two go head-to-head, trying to operate high-tech machinery like stunt planes, tanks and the like.

Friday 16

“Wander Over Yonder” (Disney 10 p.m.) Craig McCracken, creator of “Powerpuff Girls” and “Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends,” adds a new show to the list. Wander is an “eternally optimistic intergalactic traveler” who helps people with the assistance of his best friend, a quick-tempered horse named Sylvia.

Saturday 17

Baby Sellers (Lifetime 6 p.m.) Kirstie Alley is as a ruthless businesswoman involved in the illicit global trade of kidnapped children. Somehow I suspected as much.

“Being Human (BBC America 9 p.m.) The BBC’s ghost/vampire/werewolf drama comes to an end after five seasons with the supernatural roommates battling Satan himself.

Sunday 18

“Tattoo Titans” (CMT 11 p.m.) Country Music Television finally realized that every other station on TV has a tattoo-based reality show. Hey, CMT, if all your friends jumped off a cliff, would you?

“Horneytown USA” (Travel Channel 7:30 p.m.) Travel Channel visits the most inappropriately named places in America—from Intercourse, Pa., to Hooker, Okla.

Monday 19

“Top Gear: The Worst Car in the History of the World Special” (BBC America 6:30 p.m.) The gearheads at “Top Gear” decide on the worst car ever made. Feel free to watch along and disagree.

“The Man with the 132 lb. Scrotum” (TLC 10 p.m.) And he doesn’t have a weekly reality show? Get on that, TLC.

Tuesday 20

“Tunnel of Fire” (CMT 9 p.m.) Motorcyclist Clint Ewing attempts to break a world record by completing the infamous Tunnel of Fire, a stunt that is pretty much exactly what it sounds like.

“Charlamagne & Friends” (MTV2 10 p.m.) New York radio personality Charlamagne tha God gets his own TV show, in which he chats with celebrity guests about pop culture, sports and their 2013 MTV VMA predictions. Also, MTV2 is still a thing.

Wednesday 21

“The Soup: Live 500th Episode” (E! 11 p.m.) “The Soup” celebrates its 500th episode by going live. Except that it’s a clip show. So presumably host Joel McHale’s quips will be live. Unless “Real Housewives,” “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” the Home Shopping Network and several Mexican soap operas are planning to reenact their shows live on set.

“Modern Dads” (A&E 8:30 p.m.) A bunch of stay-at-home dads in Austin get their own reality show.
