“Good Girls Revolt” (Amazon streaming anytime) This historical drama, set in 1969, follows the lives of three young female researchers working at a New York news magazine who break with convention and ask to be treated fairly and equally. It’s based on the book of the same name by Lynn Povich.

Into the Inferno (Netflix streaming anytime) Filmmaker Werner Herzog travels the world with volcanologist Clive Oppenheimer to understand man’s relationship with volcanoes.

“Tracy Ullman’s Show” (HBO 9pm) Acclaimed actress, writer and singer Tracy Ullman fronts another sketch comedy show in which she gets to play a load of colorful characters.

“The People’s Network Showcase” (El Rey 6pm) John Carpenter hosts this compilation of 10 short horror films from indie filmmakers—running the gamut from bloody chainsaws (natch) to murderous clowns (of course).

Halloween Baking Championship” (Food 7pm) Season 2 comes to an end with contestants building “ginger dead houses.” … Yeah, no matter how hard you try, dessert just isn’t scary.

“Paranormal Lockdown: The Black Monk House” (TLC 7pm) Ghost hunters Nick Groff and Katrina Weidman got locked inside an allegedly haunted house in Yorkshire for 100 hours in order to assemble this two-hour special filled with grainy shadows and excitable people repeatedly shouting “What was that?” and “Did you hear that?”

“Salem” (WGN 7pm) Shock-rocker Marilyn Manson joins the cast of WGN’s historical horror series as a murderous barber/surgeon.

“Stan Against Evil” (IFC 11pm) An aging former sheriff (John C. McGinley from “Scrubs”) joins forces with his replacements to defend a cursed New England town from a plague of demons in IFC’s Evil Dead -esque horror comedy.
