Thursday 15

Naked & Afraid: The Ultimate Fan Challenge” (Discovery 7pm) Uh, yeah. … I’m gonna go ahead and pass on this particular challenge—enticing as it sounds.

“AFI Life Achievement Award: A Tribute to Diane Keaton” (TNT 8pm) Hey, I wonder if Woody Allen will show up.

Friday 16

“20/20” (KOAT-7 8pm) Well, this seems like a timely flashback topic for tonight’s newsmagazine show: “Watergate—Truth & Lies.”

Saturday 17

“T.J. Miller: Meticulously Ridiculous” (HBO 8pm) Ubiquitous comedian T.J. Miller (Deadpool, “Silicon Valley,” “The Gorburger Show,” those Mucinex commercials, the upcoming Emoji Movie) gets his own standup special.

Punk Vacation (TCM 12am) This odd, 1990 cult flick finds a small California town invaded by a gang of vicious punk rockers. When the owner of the local diner is killed, it touches off a war between punks and rednecks. It’s not good, strictly speaking. But it does have a lot of ’80s style punks with guns.

Sunday 18

“My Mother and Other Strangers” (KNME-5 7pm) The nostalgic BBC costume drama about life during World War II in a Northern Irish village-turned-US-airbase comes to “Masterpiece.” Hattie Morahan from “The Bletchley Circle” stars. Certain people—certain PBS-watching people—will take to this like catnip.

“America’s War on Drugs” (History 7pm) History Channel proves America has a better track record fighting countries than objects and abstract ideas (drugs, communism, terrorism).

Monday 19

“Reno, Set, Go!” (Discovery Family 8pm) A home renovation show. Set in Reno. That’s it.

Tuesday 20

Rory Scovel Tries Stand-Up For the First Time (Netflix Streaming anytime) Comedian, writer and actor Rory Scovel tries on an ironic title for his latest standup special.

Wednesday 21

Straight/Curve (Epix 6pm) This documentary aims to “redefine body image” in the fashion industry.

“Little Big Shots: Forever Young” (KOB-4 7pm) Steve Harvey’s kiddie talent show gets a spin-off. In which old people do stuff. Like tap dance. Remember when they couldn’t have paid you to watch something this dull on TV?

“Outrageous Acts of Danger” (Science 8:04pm) The makers of “Outrageous Acts of Science” find something to do with all those viral internet videos of negligible scientific value by offering a subtle tweak to the show’s title.

To Joey, With Love (CMT 9pm) Joey and Rory Feek (of the bluegrass duo Joey + Rory) document the birth of their daughter (who, it turns out, had Down Syndrome) and Joey’s subsequent battle with cervical cancer (which she lost). Sounds … uplifting.
