Joe Wright sets the stage for lush, theatrical adaptation of lit classic

Leo Tolstoy’s romantic classic Anna Karenina gets a cheeky, self-consciously theatrical, big-screen redux courtesy of British filmmaker Joe Wright and award-winning screenwriter Tom Stoppard.
Our neighbor to the north hopes to lure film lovers to the City Different for the 13th annual Santa Fe Film Festival. The viewing party unfolds Dec. 6 through 9 at a number of venues including The Screen, the Center for Contemporary Arts, The Lensic Performing Arts Center and the New Mexico History Museum.
