Denounced by the Pope and protested worldwide, Jean-Luc Godard's incendiary 1985 transportation of the story of Mary and Joseph into modern day is actually--like a great many Godard films--just plain arty and hard to understand. It is not, however, particularly sacreligeous. Those looking for a detatched, experimental look into the sacred and the profane, however, will certainly find fuel for discussion. 107 minutes
