Taoism Drunkard

Yeun Woo-Ping (famous as the fight choreographer of films like Charlie's Angels, The Matrix and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) got his start making chopsockey flicks with his father and brothers. This early '80s effort is one of the loopier examples. In fact, some have branded this the most insane martial arts flick ever filmed. Basically, an inebriated hero is called upon to battle a wizardly bad guy who has stolen a mystical scroll (or something like that). Throw in a booby-trapped temple, a dope-smoking granny, some exploding orbs, and a freaky, Pac-Man-shaped monster and you've got one freaky-ass fight flick filled with surreal comedy. 94 minutes
