Novelist Elmore Leonard (Get Shorty, Out of Sight) gets another big screen treatment, this one courtesy of director George Armitage (Miami Blues, Gross Pointe Blank). In this inconsequential crime comedy, a surfer/con man (Owen Wilson) lands a dream job working for a powerful local businessman (Morgan Freeman) in Hawaii. Unfortunately, he ends up getting seduced by a cute blonde (Sara Foster) with a plan to rip off a fortune in mob money. Look for Willie Nelson, Charlie Sheen and Gary Sinise in small cameos. It's not nearly as good as some of the previous Leonard adaptations, but the cast is having fun.
