The popular Spanish-language film festival—hosted by UNM's Student Organization for Latin American Studies—returns with a two-day collection of dramatic, entertaining, socially conscious and well-accented films. Selections come from a variety of contemporary Latino/a filmmakers in Colombia, Ecuador, Honduras, Brazil and Mexico. Director Pamela Yates and producer Paco de Onis will be on hand to discuss their award-winning film Granito: How to Nail a Dictator, about the trial of Guatemalan dictator Efraín Ríos Montt. Admission is free, but seating is limited. Go to solasunm.org/sin-fronteras for a complete list of films and times.
