The Ballad of Ramblin' Jack

Though little remembered in this day and age, Ramblin' Jack Elliot was perhaps the pivotal figure in the popularization of American folk music. In the 1950s and '60s he became a cult figure forging a link between old school folkies like Woody Guthrie and modern rock interpreters like Bob Dylan and Pete Seegar. In this intimate biography, Elliot's daughter picks up a camera and goes in search of her father's life and career, following the singer from his early performances in the 1930s though to his rock star friendships in the 1960s. A must for music fans. 112 minutes
